3 Days Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Safari

This 3-day Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Camping Safari brings you to two of the most popular national parks of Tanzania’s northern safari circuit in the shortest time possible. This Tanzania safari is ideal for those who have limited time and budget and yet are in quest of the big five. First taking you to the great savanna of Serengeti National Park, where there is a big chance of spotting big cats as lions. Ending the tour in the world’s largest intact volcanic crater, the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 1: Arusha – Serengeti National Park

After an early morning Breakfast depart for Serengeti via Ngorongoro conservation area while having a game viewing on route to the Serengeti National park and enjoying the evening game. Lunch will be served in the park, and after a full day of games drives your campsite awaits.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

In this day we suggest a very early wake up in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you’ll ever witness. It’s really one of the most beautiful experiences to have. After the game drive, we return to the camp for a rewarding brunch and then we’ll proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the 8th wonder of the Natural World. The crater spreads for 102 sq. miles and has 2.000 ft high walls, making it virtually a Noah’s ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It’s one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black Rhino. The concentration of African wildlife if the greatest in the continent. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest and open plains. It’s also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world and have huge tusks. This is due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a Wonder of the Natural World.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast, we descend back into the crater for an early morning game drive, hoping the cool morning air allows for us to see some active wildlife. As the temperatures rise, we may head to the hippo pool to see these spectacular creatures enjoying a dip to beat the heat. As lunch approaches, we make our way to the picnic site on the lake, taking in the spectacular views and a bite to eat before you head out on the final game drive. After our last glimpse of the park, we head towards the crater rim to make the journey back to Arusha for the evening.
